    Practicing medicine has always been a dream of mine. I had no idea where I wanted to start and didn't know specifically how I wanted to achieve this goal. I knew I needed to get patient contact hours and I always had a passion for helping people. I saw Motlow State was offering a summer course in Emergency Medical Services (EMS), so I decided to take a leap of faith and register for it. This was probably the best decision I have ever made. I gained experience, friends, and a new family in EMS.

    Motlow State Community College is hosting a series of "On Campus Registration Rush" events as part of its continuing focus on student enrollment and student success. The "Rush" events are scheduled beginning August 10 at Motlow's Moore County and Fayetteville campuses. They are designed to facilitate students registering for Fall 2021 classes, which begin August 23.

    A recent Treasury Department report noted that Motlow State was recognized as a leader in controlling the cost of college attendance. Motlow distinguished itself as a leader in preventing the increase of fees associated with online learning. Tennessee's public higher education institutions have provided online courses for more than two decades. The prevalence of online courses increased during the COVID-19 pandemic. At some colleges and universities, students are charged higher mandatory fees than students who attend class in person.
