Licensure Disclosures – Motlow State Community College (MSCC) participates in the National Council for State
Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). Motlow State Community College is
accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges
(SACSCOC). As a member institution of the Tennessee Board of Regents, the college
is regulated by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission (THEC).
In compliance with the U.S. Department of Education, THEC, and NC-SARA, Motlow State
Community College provides information regarding professional licensure pertaining
to programs offered through MSCC. Certain MSCC programs are designed for professional
licensure within Tennessee. However, many of our programs may meet all or a portion
of the educational requirements for licensure in other states and territories. Requirements
for other states may vary. If you currently live in a state other than Tennessee and
you intend to use the education completed at MSCC to seek professional licensure in
another state, be aware there may be additional requirements for obtaining licensure.
Please contact the appropriate licensing body in the state where you intend to seek
licensure to determine licensure requirements in that state.
- Students who intend on being licensed outside the state of Tennessee should take the
following steps before beginning a licensure program at Motlow.
- Review the licensing information provided for the applicable program(s) and for U.S.
States and territories licensing requirements.
- Contact the Motlow State Program Director to discuss our program’s curriculum.
- Contact the appropriate licensing agency in the U.S. States and territories where
licensure is intended. This will enable you to obtain the most up-to-date information
about licensure requirements and confirm how a Motlow State program satisfies educational
requirements for licensure.

Locations and Facilities - Motlow State offers several locations to suit the needs of the community.
MPower
Report Fraud, Waste, and Abuse - Motlow encourages you to report known or suspected fraud, waste, or abuse by employees,
outside contractors, or vendors.
Student Handbook – The student handbook has a wealth of information regarding general information,
student rights and freedoms, policies and guidelines and much more.
Textbooks, Materials, & Bookstore – The college bookstore lists the cost and ISBN numbers for all textbooks and class
material on the bookstore web site. Check the cost of the textbooks required for any
class offered.
Transfer Credit – Students may be able to apply hours earned at other institutions toward a degree
at Motlow State Community College.
Transfer-Out Rates – Motlow reports a transfer-out rate, which is the percentage of the full-time, first-time
students who transferred to another institution.
Travel, International Education – Students can apply for scholarship assistance through the International Education
Committee to aid in the costs of the study abroad program.
Withdrawal – The steps needed to withdraw from a class or from school.
Vaccination/Immunization Policy
